Thanks to Friends of River Edge Public Library, I will be hosting a MASTERPIECE MADNESS Paint & Sip night at Monsun Indian Restaurant on Thursday 3/28! I was asked by Kathleen M. Murphy of Friends of the Library to take on this project, and of course I jumped at the chance! This is going to be a lot of fun, with wine, appetizers, and of course, PAINT! A portion of the proceeds will be going to the library. The painting on the flyer (SEE MASTERPIECE MADNESS events) will be our painting of the night! 🍷🎨🍷🎨🍷🎨

CINQ GALLERY, Dallas, TX by Kim Schmitt Thomas

Little late posting this, but we had a huge turnout for the opening of our Gallery Artists' Fall Group Show, Autumnation, on October 28, which I flew out to Dallas to attend.  Great time with my Cinq Gallery family, as always!!  (I'm terrible at keeping up with this blogging stuff.)

I'm very happy to announce that 2 of my paintings, The Body Shop and But I Love You..., were chosen to hang in the "Back Story" group exhibit at the SMI Galleries @ Academy Square, located at 33 Plymouth Street, Montclair, NJ.  The exhibition runs from May 4- August 12, 2016.  The opening reception (which is open to the public) will be on Friday, May 20, from 7PM-9PM.  Hope to see you there!!  

Van Saun Park Art Show, TOMORROW! Sunday October, 11. 10:30AM-3:30PM. by Kim Schmitt Thomas

Stop by VAN SAUN PARK in Paramus, NJ tomorrow (Sunday) to see me and 99 other artists in Bergen County's 51st Annual Group Juried Show!  I will be showing/selling most of my abstract paintings (from Gallery ll) and many new small abstract mixed media pieces!  There will also be a jazz quartet concert to make what should be a beautiful day even lovelier!!  Hope to see you there!

I had a wonderful time last night at the opening reception of Viewpoints!  I was very honored that my painting The Body Shop was chosen to hang in such a fantastic exhibit of works from many talented artists.  A big thank you to family and friends who came to the opening!  You helped make the event that much more special and memorable...and fun!  Happy to report that I made some cool new friends, too!  The exhibit runs through July 1st, if you'd like to catch it!
